Mr. Emrich brings over
twenty five years of commercial real estate
experience in the areas of property
management accounting, acquisitions, debt
and equity financing and asset management.
As an accomplished senior financial
executive, Mr. Emrich provides Rockledge
Realty with expertise in real estate due
diligence, financial reporting and analysis,
forecasting, budgeting, cash management and
information technology management.
Prior to joining Rockledge,
Mr. Emrich held the top financial position at
Cafritz Company where he directed all aspects of
the company’s property management accounting and
information technology operations. In addition,
Mr. Emrich oversaw the financial operations of
The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, the
company’s primary real estate client with assets
in excess of $280 million.
Previously, Mr. Emrich served
as Vice President of Carey Winston Realty
Advisors, an asset management and investment
advisory subsidiary of the Carey Winston
Company, the largest full service commercial
real estate brokerage firm in the mid-Atlantic
region. During his four-year tenure, Mr. Emrich
managed multiple real estate service functions
including loan servicing, asset management,
financial due diligence, asset management and
disposition and corporate lease administration
for a broad range of institutional and corporate
clients. Significant accomplishments include a
devised and executed client solution to provide
loan servicing consolidation for a $3 billion
union pension fund reducing the fund’s loan
servicing fees by more than 10%.
Prior to Carey Winston, Mr.
Emrich was Vice President of NHP Capital Corp.
and NHP Servicing, Inc., both subsidiaries of
the National Corporation for Housing
Partnerships, the nation’s second largest
owner/manager of multifamily properties. At NHP,
Mr. Emrich was part of an investment advisory
team that underwrote and priced more than 1,500
non-performing loans with outstanding principal
balance in excess of $3.5 billion.
Prior to NHP, Mr. Emrich
served as Vice President at the B.F. Saul
Company for more than nine years where he was
involved in a variety of the firm’s commercial
real estate activities including property
management accounting, asset acquisition/due
diligence, mortgage loan origination and
underwriting and mortgage loan servicing. Prior
to the firm’s sale of its commercial mortgage
unit in 1992, Mr. Emrich headed the firm’s
commercial mortgage servicing portfolio of over
$2 billion.
Mr. Emrich received a B.S. in
Accounting from the University of Maryland at
College Park.
